As many of you are aware last year on June 23rd, 2013 Matt's life was tragically cut short in an automobile accident in the early morning hours. Devastating many of his friends, family, colleagues, and random strangers he had touched along his journey through life.
Matt, in his short life had faced many trials and tribulations, as many of us have as well. However, Matt's perseverance, resolve, and compassion for other people had always been among his shining attributes. Through his battle with cancer, he still managed to put on a smile and lend an ear to anyone, for any reason, for any length of time. This is why many of us loved him dearly, his selflessness and compassion are two aspects that many of us could learn a thing or two about.
As we approach the one year anniversary of Matt's passing, it with honor that I am driven to continue his compassion by announcing the first annual Brower Ball - Where proceeds from this fundraising campaign and even will benefit local and national cancer charities.
The charities whom will benefit from our donations will be announced once agreements have been reached with them.
The Brower Ball will be held in Mid-May at a location to be determined and will be announced on a Facebook event page.

This is the first efforts to begin the fundraising campaign, the venue to host the event will be determined in the next week and will be announced here. In addition to donations, there will be tickets sold at the door to the ball, in addition to online once the venue is decided.
